Values can differ between engine variants — check the code stamped on your block.
| Torque | Fastener / step |
|---|---|
| 20 Nm (15 lb-ft) | Bolt hydraulic line for power-assisted steering onto right cylinder block |
| 20 Nm (15 lb-ft) | Bolt hydraulic line for power-assisted steering onto right engine bracket |
| 25 Nm (18 lb-ft) | Allow torque reaction support to move under own weight onto torque reaction support… |
| 30 Nm (22 lb-ft) | Allow stop of torque reaction support to rest under its own weight on stop buffer of… |
| 30 Nm (22 lb-ft) | Allow stop of torque support to lie on stop buffer of torque support under its own weight… |
| 40 Nm (30 lb-ft) | Tighten gearbox mounting securing nuts |
ℹ️ Always cross-check the exact figure against your vehicle's factory manual before final tightening — a wrong torque can damage the engine. These values are extracted from workshop data and may not cover every variant or revision.
📋 Procedure
- ⚠ When doing any repair work, especially in the engine compartment, pay attention to the following due to the cramped conditions:Route all the various lines (e.g. for fuel, hydraulics, activated charcoal filter system, coolant, refrigerant, brake fluid and vacuum) and electrical wiring in their original positions.Ensure that there is sufficient clearance to all moving or hot components. — Check whether dowel sleeves for centring engine/gearbox have been fitted in cylinder block, insert if necessary.
- Hook intermediate plate onto sealing flange and slide onto dowel sleeves (arrows).
- Clean input shaft splines and lightly grease with greaseG 000 100.
- Check clutch and clutch operating mechanism and install 30.

Who makes these pages, and how
TorqFix was built by a mechanic — after a 2,700 km drive with five roadside repairs that no diagnostic tool could explain.
The figures on this page come from manufacturer workshop documentation and are shown as they are. The page is assembled automatically from that data — it is not written by an AI. The AI works in the chat, where it answers for your specific car. It writes nothing here.
Variants of the same model differ. Cross-check torque against the factory manual for your engine before final tightening.
Seen a figure that does not match your manual? Write to us — we correct it and note when. support@torqfix.com
