  • The oil sump is sealed with Silicone sealantD 176 501 A1.The Silicone sealantD 176 501 A1 has high adhesive power once it is hardened.
  • Risk of eye injuries.Wear protective goggles! — Remove the remaining Silicone sealantD 176 501 A1 on the lower oil crankcase with a plastic rotary brush.
  • Risk of impurities in the lubrication system.Cover all exposed engine components. — Cut the pipe injector on front marking (∅ of injector is approx. 3 mm).
  • The sealant cord cannot be thicker, or else the excessive sealant can go to the oil pan and obstruct the oil suction tube sieve.

Who makes these pages, and how

TorqFix was built by a mechanic — after a 2,700 km drive with five roadside repairs that no diagnostic tool could explain.

The figures on this page come from manufacturer workshop documentation and are shown as they are. The page is assembled automatically from that data — it is not written by an AI. The AI works in the chat, where it answers for your specific car. It writes nothing here.

Variants of the same model differ. Cross-check torque against the factory manual for your engine before final tightening.
