Checking fuel delivery rate (engine codes CCZA, CCZB, CCZC, CCZD) on VW: 18 steps, engines CCZA, CCZB, CCZC, CCZD.
Workshop procedure for VW — the exact step sequence and torque figures, straight from real workshop data.
🧭 Before you start
Fits: VW Tiguan I (5N, 2007–2016)
- Special tools named: VAS 5052
- Renewed: fuel delivery unit
Don't miss
- Make sure that drain tap is closed and cut-off taps are open.
- Press the remote controlV.A.G 1348/3A and slowly close shut-off tap (arrow) until a pressure of 4 bar is displayed on pressure gauge. From this point on do not move position of shut-off tap.
- Open flanges on left and right. Ensure all hose connections are fitted correctly and do not leak. Check sieve in fuel delivery unit and fuel tank for coarse soiling.
📋 Procedure
- Connect vehicle diagnosis and service information systemVAS 5052 B to vehicle.
- Select Guided functions in VAS 5052 B.
- Carry out vehicle identification.
- Select Engine.
- Select Checking fuel delivery rate, quick test.
- Follow instructions on vehicle diagnosis and service information systemVAS 5052 B.
- ⚠ The fuel line is under pressure.Risk of injury to eyes and skin from fuel.Wear eye protection and protective clothing to avoid eye injuries and skin contact. Before loosening hose connections, wrap a cloth around the connection. Then release pressure by carefully opening the connection point. — Pull supply line (2) off right flange and catch escaping fuel with a cloth.
- Connect pressure testerVAS 6550 to flange with adapterVAS 6550/2. Hold adapterVAS 6550/1 in a measuring container.
- Make sure that drain tap is closed and cut-off taps are open.
- Press the remote controlV.A.G 1348/3A and slowly close shut-off tap (arrow) until a pressure of 4 bar is displayed on pressure gauge. From this point on do not move position of shut-off tap.
- Drain measuring container.
- The delivery rate of the fuel pump depends on the battery voltage. Therefore also connect multimeterV.A.G 1715 to contacts (1) and (5) of adapterVAS 5565.
- Operate remote control for 60 seconds while measuring voltage at fuel pump.
- Compare quantity of fuel delivered with specification.
- Check fuel lines for possible restrictions (kinks) or blockages.
- Remove cap from fuel filler neck and repeat check. If fuel delivery rate is now reached, check fuel tank breather.
- Open flanges on left and right. Ensure all hose connections are fitted correctly and do not leak. Check sieve in fuel delivery unit and fuel tank for coarse soiling.
- First renew left flange with pressure limiting valve and fuel filter. Repeat delivery rate check. If fuel delivery is still insufficient, fuel pump defective, renew fuel delivery unit.

Who makes these pages, and how
TorqFix was built by a mechanic — after a 2,700 km drive with five roadside repairs that no diagnostic tool could explain.
The figures on this page come from manufacturer workshop documentation and are shown as they are. The page is assembled automatically from that data — it is not written by an AI. The AI works in the chat, where it answers for your specific car. It writes nothing here.
Variants of the same model differ. Cross-check torque against the factory manual for your engine before final tightening.
Seen a figure that does not match your manual? Write to us — we correct it and note when. support@torqfix.com
