Servicing front brakes, two-piston brake — AUDI
Servicing front brakes, two-piston brake on Audi: factory workshop procedure. Full factory text, tools and checks.
Workshop procedure for AUDI — the factory write-up, straight from real workshop data.
📋 Procedure
ℹ️ Torque figures below come verbatim from workshop data — always cross-check against your vehicle's factory manual before final tightening.
Audi S4/S6, Audi S4.2, Audi S6 Plus
Note:
Always install the complete repair kit.
After replacing brake pads, depress brake pedal firmly several times with vehicle stationary so that the brake pads are properly seated in their normal operating position.
To draw off brake fluid from the reservoir, use a bleeder bottle which is used only for brake fluid. Brake fluid is poisonous and must on no account be sucked out by mouth using a hose!
Brakes can be checked on all commercially available brake test stands, provided that the driving speed of the two driving rollers of the test stand does not exceed 5.5 km/h.
The tightening torque of the brake pipe is 15 Nm.
Torx bolts, 25 Nm
Always replace
Remove and insert using commercially available Torx socket (e.g. Hazet T40)
Included in brake pad repair set
Brake disc
Always replace on both sides of the car
Ensure adequate wear reserve
Remove brake caliper prior to removing

Who makes these pages, and how
TorqFix was built by a mechanic — after a 2,700 km drive with five roadside repairs that no diagnostic tool could explain.
The figures on this page come from manufacturer workshop documentation and are shown as they are. The page is assembled automatically from that data — it is not written by an AI. The AI works in the chat, where it answers for your specific car. It writes nothing here.
Variants of the same model differ. Cross-check torque against the factory manual for your engine before final tightening.
