📋 Procedure
ℹ️ Torque figures below come verbatim from workshop data — always cross-check against your vehicle's factory manual before final tightening.
Servicing front brakes (PR 1LB / 1LE / 1LT / 1LF)
Note
Install all parts supplied in repair kit.
After renewing brake pads, depress brake pedal firmly several times with vehicle stationary so that the pads are properly seated in their normal operating position.
To draw off brake fluid from brake fluid reservoir use a bleeder bottle which is used only for brake fluid. Brake fluid is poisonous and must NOT be drawn off by sucking through a hose.

Insert in both holes in brake caliper housing
Note
The retaining spring must be pressed under the brake carrier after inserting into both holes. If incorrectly installed, the wear of the outer pad cannot be adjusted, and the pedal travel will be increased as a result.

Who makes these pages, and how
TorqFix was built by a mechanic — after a 2,700 km drive with five roadside repairs that no diagnostic tool could explain.
The figures on this page come from manufacturer workshop documentation and are shown as they are. The page is assembled automatically from that data — it is not written by an AI. The AI works in the chat, where it answers for your specific car. It writes nothing here.
Variants of the same model differ. Cross-check torque against the factory manual for your engine before final tightening.
Seen a figure that does not match your manual? Write to us — we correct it and note when. support@torqfix.com
