Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order, when doing this note the following:
Moisten outer circumference and sealing lips of oil seal with gear oil or coat thinly with Vaseline.
Check oil seal seat in gearbox housing for damage and rework if necessary.
Slide on new oil seal with sealing lip -arrow- facing thrust piece 3322.
Drive on oil seal up to stop.
Insert shim -2- and bearing outer race for differential -1- into housing up to stop by hand. Keep parts straight when installing.
Renew O-ring -arrow- and coat with Vaseline.
Insert shim and bearing outer race into differential cover if they have fallen out.

Who makes these pages, and how
TorqFix was built by a mechanic — after a 2,700 km drive with five roadside repairs that no diagnostic tool could explain.
The figures on this page come from manufacturer workshop documentation and are shown as they are. The page is assembled automatically from that data — it is not written by an AI. The AI works in the chat, where it answers for your specific car. It writes nothing here.
Variants of the same model differ. Cross-check torque against the factory manual for your engine before final tightening.
