Removing and installing starter, 1.4 l injection engine, manual gearbox — AUDI

🧭 Before you start

Fits: VW Caddy III (2K, 2004–2015); platform code 2C0

📋 Procedure

1. ⚠ To disconnect and reconnect the battery, the procedure described in the workshop manual should be strictly adhered to . — Disconnect battery .
2. Release and disconnect connector of terminal 50 (1).
3. Unbolt positive cable (2).
4. Unscrew and remove earth wire from starter bolt (arrow).
5. Undo upper starter bolt (arrow).

6. If fitted, remove noise insulation General body repairs, exterior66Noise insulation.
7. Unscrew securing nut (1) from starter securing bolt and remove bracket (2).
8. Undo lower starter bolt (arrow).
9. Remove starter.
10. Tighten threaded connections to specified torque given in assembly overview .
