.
Detach coolant hoses -1- and -3-.
Unbolt coolant expansion tank -2- (-arrows-).
Disconnect the electrical wiring to coolant level display switch -F66 on bottom of expansion tank.
Detach the throttle cable of throttle valve control unit and resistance bearing -arrows- (do not remove retainer).
Remove the air duct hose -6- from throttle valve control unit.
Detach vacuum hose -1-.
Detach vacuum line -3- to ACF container.
Pull off vacuum hose -2- for brake servo
Note:
Detach the vacuum hose -2- behind the suction jet pump in vehicles with automatic gearbox.
Pull off the following connectors:
4 -
for intake air temperature sender -G42
5 -
for throttle valve control unit -J338
Detach connector from Hall sender -G40 -arrow-.
Unscrew retaining bolts for fuel distributor rail and pull vacuum line off fuel pressure regulator -arrows-.
Pull distributor rail together with injectors off intake manifold and place it on a clean cloth at the back of the engine compartment.
Note:
Protect the removed injectors from contamination.
Detach coolant hoses from upper coolant pipe.
Unscrew coolant pipe from top of intake pipe and coolant flange -arrows- on rear of cylinder head.
Disconnect crankcase breather hose -1- from intake pipe.
Remove intake pipe support -arrows-.
Pull out oil dipstick.
Unscrew suction hose from flange and remove.
Note:

Who makes these pages, and how
TorqFix was built by a mechanic — after a 2,700 km drive with five roadside repairs that no diagnostic tool could explain.
The figures on this page come from manufacturer workshop documentation and are shown as they are. The page is assembled automatically from that data — it is not written by an AI. The AI works in the chat, where it answers for your specific car. It writes nothing here.
Variants of the same model differ. Cross-check torque against the factory manual for your engine before final tightening.
Seen a figure that does not match your manual? Write to us — we correct it and note when. support@torqfix.com
