📋 Procedure
- ⚠ Observe rules for cleanliness when working on the injection system .Follow these instructions and rules for cleanliness before starting work and while working on the fuel system. Before fitting toothed belt, toothed belt sprocket for high-pressure pump must be locked in position using locking tool T40135. This is important to prevent oscillation of toothed belt. The high-pressure pump must first be filled with fuel before the engine is started. The high-pressure pump must not be allowed to run while still empty. First fuel filling . — Remove intake manifold (top section) .
- Remove toothed belt for high-pressure pump .
- Unscrew bolts (arrows) and remove protective plate for high-pressure pipe.
- Unscrew union nuts (1 ... 4) and move high-pressure pipes clear.
- Unplug electrical connector (3).
- Remove fuel supply hose (1) and fuel return hose (2).
- Unscrew bolts (arrows) and detach high-pressure pump. [Note: Renew seals and gaskets.Fuel return lines must not be kinked, damaged or clogged. If toothed belt sprocket has to be renewed, use counterhold tool T10172A when loosening and tightening central nut. Then use puller T40064 to pull off toothed belt sprocket. Before fitting toothed belt, toothed belt sprocket (1) for high-pressure pump must be locked in position using locking tool T40135. This is important to prevent oscillation of toothed belt. Two TDC points must be aligned in order to correctly adjust toothed belt for high pressure pump.TDC of crankshaft (1)TDC of camshaft (arrow)]

Who makes these pages, and how
TorqFix was built by a mechanic — after a 2,700 km drive with five roadside repairs that no diagnostic tool could explain.
The figures on this page come from manufacturer workshop documentation and are shown as they are. The page is assembled automatically from that data — it is not written by an AI. The AI works in the chat, where it answers for your specific car. It writes nothing here.
Variants of the same model differ. Cross-check torque against the factory manual for your engine before final tightening.
Seen a figure that does not match your manual? Write to us — we correct it and note when. support@torqfix.com
