Removing and installing gearbox mounting - vehicles with dual clutch gearbox 0B5 — AUDI

Removing and installing gearbox mounting - vehicles with dual clutch gearbox 0B5 on Audi: 8 steps, engines CDUC, CDUD, CGQB, CKVB.

On the A6/A7 C7 (4G, 2011–2018) with the 0B5 dual clutch gearbox and engines such as CDUC, CGQB, CKVB, CLAA, CPNB, CTCB and CVUA, the gearbox mounting is changed on the bench once the gearbox support has come out of the car with the mounting attached. The stop is unbolted from the mounting, then a nut and a bolt separate the mounting from the gearbox support. On assembly the support is positioned on the new mounting, the nut and bolt are only hand-tightened, the stop bolt is tightened, and only then are the nut and bolt fully torqued. That order lets the mounting settle against its stop without preload. The support then goes back into the car with the mounting.

8 steps 12 engine codes

🧭 Before you start

Remove the gearbox support together with the mounting. Unbolt the stop, then remove the nut and bolt and separate the mounting from the support. Position the support on the new mounting, hand-tighten the nut and bolt, tighten the stop bolt, then tighten the nut and bolt and refit the assembly.

Fits: Audi A6/A7 C7 (4G, 2011–2018)

Don't miss

  • Hand-tighten nut (5) and bolt (6) first; final-tighten only after the stop bolt.
  • Refit the stop (2) to the mounting before final tightening.
  • Check the mounting sits squarely on the gearbox support before tightening.
  • Renew self-locking nuts on mountings, as general practice.

Who makes these pages, and how

TorqFix was built by a mechanic — after a 2,700 km drive with five roadside repairs that no diagnostic tool could explain.

The figures on this page come from manufacturer workshop documentation and are shown as they are. The page is assembled automatically from that data — it is not written by an AI. The AI works in the chat, where it answers for your specific car. It writes nothing here.

Variants of the same model differ. Cross-check torque against the factory manual for your engine before final tightening.
