📋 Procedure

  1. ⚠ Risk of explosion of fuel tank. If a new or completely empty fuel tank has been installed, it must be filled immediately with at least 5 litres of fuel. The fuel pump must not be allowed to run when the fuel tank is empty. — Note safety precautions before starting installation work .
  2. Observe rules for cleanliness . [Note: Fuel tank must be drained. Use the fuel extractorVAS 5190 to do this.]
  3. ⚠ The fuel line is under pressure.Risk of injury to eyes and skin from fuel.Wear eye protection and protective clothing to avoid eye injuries and skin contact. Before loosening hose connections, wrap a cloth around the connection. Then release pressure by carefully opening the connection point. — Pull off supply hose (3) and return hose (2) (with blue mark). Collect escaping fuel with a cleaning cloth. [Note: Press in buttons on hose couplings to do this.]
  4. Reconnect fuel hose again, hose couplings must engage audibly when reconnecting.

Who makes these pages, and how

TorqFix was built by a mechanic — after a 2,700 km drive with five roadside repairs that no diagnostic tool could explain.

The figures on this page come from manufacturer workshop documentation and are shown as they are. The page is assembled automatically from that data — it is not written by an AI. The AI works in the chat, where it answers for your specific car. It writes nothing here.

Variants of the same model differ. Cross-check torque against the factory manual for your engine before final tightening.

Seen a figure that does not match your manual? Write to us — we correct it and note when. support@torqfix.com
