Removing and installing centre armrest, kombi — AUDI
Removing and installing centre armrest, kombi on Audi: 14 steps. What to remove, in what order, and what to check after.
The centre armrest in the Caddy III Kombi (2K, with the 2C0 code also listed) is held in the console by two spreader rivets that act as its pivot, and almost everything in the job is about getting at them. With the ignition off, the storage compartment, the cup holder bolt, the drinks holder and the vent are removed, then the trim panel comes off once its bolt is out and the wiring is separated from the socket. Three pairs of bolts release the console sides, which are swung outwards so the insert can be lifted out. The clamping pin in each spreader rivet is pressed in and the rivet removed, then the armrest pulls out of its bearing bushes. The point to watch is the bolt order: those six bolts must go back in the order given.
🧭 Before you start
Ignition off, then storage compartment, cup holder bolt, drinks holder, vent and the console trim panel come out in turn, with the harness separated at the socket. The three pairs of bolts are removed, the side sections are swung out and the insert lifted away. Both spreader rivets are released by pressing their clamping pins, and the armrest is pulled out of its bushes. Fitting is the reverse, refitting the bolts in the stated order and checking the socket works.
Fits: VW Caddy III (2K, 2004–2015); platform code 2C0

Who makes these pages, and how
TorqFix was built by a mechanic — after a 2,700 km drive with five roadside repairs that no diagnostic tool could explain.
The figures on this page come from manufacturer workshop documentation and are shown as they are. The page is assembled automatically from that data — it is not written by an AI. The AI works in the chat, where it answers for your specific car. It writes nothing here.
Variants of the same model differ. Cross-check torque against the factory manual for your engine before final tightening.
