🧭 Before you start
Fits: platform codes 2EA, 2ED, 2EH, 2EX, 2EB, 2EE, 2EK, 2FC, 2FF, 2FL, 2FZ, 2FG, 2FM
- Opens: brake fluid
- Renewed: self-locking nuts, corroded nuts
Don't miss
- All cable ties which were opened or cut during removal must be renewed at the same points when component is installed.
- Middle connector is difficult to access, separate connector after assembly has been removed from plenum chamber bulkhead.
- Second air line remains connected at present as it is only accessible later.Second air line will be separated when air supply unit is removed from plenum chamber bulkhead in a later operation.
- Always renew self-locking nuts and bolts.Always renew corroded nuts and bolts.
📋 Procedure
- Refer to general repair instructions .
- Relieve pressure in system . [Note: All cable ties which were opened or cut during removal must be renewed at the same points when component is installed.]
- ⚠ Please observe the following points during all installation work, in particular in the engine compartment, due to the space limitations:Route all kinds of lines (e.g. for fuel, hydraulics, activated charcoal system, coolant and refrigerant, brake fluid, vacuum) and electrical cables so that the original line routing is re-established.To avoid damaging lines, make sure there is sufficient clearance to all moving or hot components.Carefully separate cable ties and reinstate in original position when reinstalling. — When removing air lines, press release (1) of respective connector in (direction of arrow) and pull out line.
- ⚠ Do not clean air supply unit/air lines using chemicals or a high-pressure cleaner.Clean air supply unit/air lines using lint-free cloths.Pay particular attention to ensure that no soling enters open lines/air line unions, connectors and electrical connections. — Remove suction hose (arrow).
- Loosen clamp (arrow).
- Pull off hose (1).
- Separate electrical connector (arrow) from pressure switch for air compressor F503(1). [Note: Middle connector is difficult to access, separate connector after assembly has been removed from plenum chamber bulkhead.]
- Separate electrical connectors (arrows) on pressure switch for air compressor V534.
- Push securing clip (arrow) in (direction of arrow a).
- Pull air line (1) out of union in (direction of arrow b). [Note: Second air line remains connected at present as it is only accessible later.Second air line will be separated when air supply unit is removed from plenum chamber bulkhead in a later operation.]
- Remove nuts (arrows).
- Lay pressure differential line with bracket (1) to one side.
- Unscrew nuts (arrows) for air compressor V534 on plenum chamber bulkhead.
- Unscrew nut (arrow) under assembly (1).
- Pull air supply unit slightly towards front.
- Disconnect air line (arrow) on pressure accumulator (1).
- Remove air compressor V534 and pressure accumulator with retainer. [Note: Always renew self-locking nuts and bolts.Always renew corroded nuts and bolts.]
- Carry out pressure test .

Who makes these pages, and how
TorqFix was built by a mechanic — after a 2,700 km drive with five roadside repairs that no diagnostic tool could explain.
The figures on this page come from manufacturer workshop documentation and are shown as they are. The page is assembled automatically from that data — it is not written by an AI. The AI works in the chat, where it answers for your specific car. It writes nothing here.
Variants of the same model differ. Cross-check torque against the factory manual for your engine before final tightening.
Seen a figure that does not match your manual? Write to us — we correct it and note when. support@torqfix.com
