Installing clutch end covers supplied without bush — AUDI

Installing clutch end covers supplied without bush on Audi: 11 steps. What to remove, in what order, and what to check after.

A replacement clutch end cover for the dual clutch gearbox on the platform codes listed below can arrive without a bush, and fitting it is all about keeping the sealing lip intact. Hold the cover only by its edge: the centre hole must not be touched, oiled or brought into contact with anything. Strip off any stickers inside, clean the clutch shaft end and the contact faces, then use assembly sleeve T10302 twice, first standing on the bench to bring the lip into position, then on the shaft end to guide the cover home horizontally and evenly. A new retaining ring follows, the gearbox goes back in, DSG oil is topped up and default settings are run with the diagnostic tester. Any knock on the cover means a leak.

11 steps

🧭 Before you start

Clean the clutch shaft end and cover contact faces and remove stickers from the cover. Pass the cover over T10302 on a flat surface, then fit the sleeve to the shaft and press the cover evenly onto its seat. Fit a new retaining ring, install the gearbox, top up oil and run default settings.

Fits: VW Caddy III (2K, 2004–2015); platform code 2C0

Don't miss

  • Never touch or oil the cover's centre hole.
  • Guide the cover horizontally and evenly over the sleeve; a tilted cover damages the lip.
  • No blows to the cover; any impact is certain to cause leaks.
  • Use a new retaining ring and run default settings after installation.

Who makes these pages, and how

TorqFix was built by a mechanic — after a 2,700 km drive with five roadside repairs that no diagnostic tool could explain.

The figures on this page come from manufacturer workshop documentation and are shown as they are. The page is assembled automatically from that data — it is not written by an AI. The AI works in the chat, where it answers for your specific car. It writes nothing here.

Variants of the same model differ. Cross-check torque against the factory manual for your engine before final tightening.
