  2. Open all dash panel vents.
  3. Start the engine and make the following settings on the operating unit:
  4. With the engine running, operate the air conditioner for several minutes at maximum cooling output.
  5. Read out measured values of vent temperature sender G150/G151 in "“Guided Fault Finding”" mode .

  8. Bleeding of coolant circuit 19Cooling system/coolant; Draining and adding coolant.
  9. Incorporation of heat exchanger for heater (in air conditioning unit) into coolant circuit 19Cooling system/coolant; Connection diagram - coolant hoses.
  10. Activation and operation of temperature flap control motor V158/V159, ("“Guided Fault Finding”").
  11. Foam seal at heat exchanger for heater of air conditioning unit
  12. Operation of temperature flap in air distribution housing Air intake and air outlet openings, heater and air conditioning unit.
  13. Thermostat (engine coolant may not become properly warm if thermostat is defective) 19Coolant pump/thermostat assembly.
  14. If fitted, operation of continued coolant circulation pump V51 / auxiliary pump for heating V488 (different designations depending on engine version) Engine, mechanics19Cooling system/coolant. [Note: Depending on the engine version, a continued coolant circulation pump V51 / auxiliary pump for heating V488 (different designations depending on engine version) may be fitted to assist the engine coolant pump Engine, mechanics19Cooling system/coolant; Connection diagram - coolant hoses and . On vehicles with a start/stop system, V51 / V488 may be activated in "“stop mode”" (engine stopped), e.g. if the engine is cold, to maintain the flow of coolant through the heat exchanger.]

Who makes these pages, and how

TorqFix was built by a mechanic — after a 2,700 km drive with five roadside repairs that no diagnostic tool could explain.

The figures on this page come from manufacturer workshop documentation and are shown as they are. The page is assembled automatically from that data — it is not written by an AI. The AI works in the chat, where it answers for your specific car. It writes nothing here.

Variants of the same model differ. Cross-check torque against the factory manual for your engine before final tightening.
