6-speed manual gearbox 01X, front-wheel drive — Checking oil level in manual gearbox — AUDI

🧭 Before you start

Fits: Audi A6 C6 (4F, 2004–2011)

• Opens: gearbox oil

Don't miss

• Secure brake disc with one wheel bolt.

📋 Procedure

1. Release fasteners marked (1), (2) and (arrow) (if fitted) and remove noise insulation panels.
2. Remove front left wheel. [Note: Secure brake disc with one wheel bolt.]
3. If fitted, unscrew heat shield (arrows) for drive shaft (left side).
4. Remove oil filler plug (arrow).
5. Top up gear oil if necessary. Specifications Electronic parts catalogue

6. Tighten oil filler plug to specified torque.
7. Fill gearbox oil up to bottom lip of filler hole.
8. Screw in oil filler plug.
9. Start engine.
10. Let gearbox turn for approx. 2 minutes without pressing clutch pedal.
11. Switch off engine and remove oil filler plug.
12. Top up gearbox oil again to bottom lip of filler hole.
13. Tighten oil filler plug to specified torque.
