📋 Procedure

  1. Activate jacking mode on vehicles with air suspension (repair group 43). [Note: Move selector lever to position "“N”" to allow the propshaft to rotate freely.]
  2. ⚠ To prevent irreparable damage to the electronic components when disconnecting the battery:Observe notes on procedure for disconnecting the battery. Observe necessary waiting time for vehicles with urea injection. — Disconnect earth wire (4) from earth point Electrical system27.
  3. Discharge refrigerant system Air conditioner with refrigerant R134a.
  4. Extract hydraulic fluid for power steering from reservoir using used oil collection and extraction unit V.A.G 1782.
  5. ⚠ Hot steam/hot coolant can escape - risk of scalding. The cooling system is under pressure when the engine is hot. To allow pressure to dissipate, cover filler cap on coolant expansion tank with cloth and open carefully. — Open filler cap on coolant expansion tank.

Who makes these pages, and how

TorqFix was built by a mechanic — after a 2,700 km drive with five roadside repairs that no diagnostic tool could explain.

The figures on this page come from manufacturer workshop documentation and are shown as they are. The page is assembled automatically from that data — it is not written by an AI. The AI works in the chat, where it answers for your specific car. It writes nothing here.

Variants of the same model differ. Cross-check torque against the factory manual for your engine before final tightening.

Seen a figure that does not match your manual? Write to us — we correct it and note when. support@torqfix.com
